Oliver, Inc. Scores Silver At The 2019 Graphic Design USA Health And Wellness Design Awards

for the MedTerra cooling cream carton in this year’s Health and Wellness Design Competition. According to Gordon Kaye, the editor at Graphic Design USA, “The Health + Wellness Design AwardsTM competition honors first-rate graphic communication in one of the fastest-growing segments of the economy. The competition has emerged among the most selective; this year there are just 240 winners chosen from roughly 2,000 entries.”

The MedTerra cartons are printed in 4/C process + spot purple on 16pt silver mylar with s spot gloss UV applied against an overall matte coating. Embossing

on the front adds to the upscale look of the carton and catches the light to enhance the impact of the foil and spot gloss. According to Stephen Frey, vice president of sales for DISC, “we are seeing an increased use of specialized carton decorating techniques in this highly competitive market. This is especially true in the burgeoning Cannabidiol (CBD) market where new products are rapidly entering the retail space and are looking for ways to attract consumer attention.”
